The chair is based on a steel frame consisting of 3 bent tubes that differ in diameter. The apparently continuous tube tapers in two points which gives it a dynamic expression resembling the appearance of a hand drawn line. Yet the difference in diameter is not only a characteristic feature of the chair. The thickness of the tube is conditional on the non-cohesive shape of the frame and supports the construction of the chair.
While the frame connects to the floor on one side of the seat to guarantee the stability of the chair while you comfortably lean back, the seat is cantilevered on the other side. Here the steel tube measures a higher diameter to prevent the seat from yielding unevenly. >>> |
